While we read about the faith of Abraham in Genesis, and Paul refers to it in the New Testament, how is it that faith in God is never fully realized by man today until he/she sees what God has promised?
Could you have faith that at 100 years old, God was going to make you not only a father of a son, but the father of many nations?

Knowing what I know from experience and many miracles within my circle of family and friends, I have nothing but faith in God's promises.
D.,
Thanks for your response to the blog last night. You can't help but have faith when you can see how wonderful He has been to folk all around you, but even more precious is the wonderful blessings that He has given to you. Faith requires all of us to grow up from depending on anyone else and knowing for ourselves! If there has ever been one of my close friends that has had to exercise faith....it has been you and I thank God for your example that you not only have shown me over the years, but you still display to me and the countless folk that you come in contact with.
Hebrews 11:1 says "Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of thing NOT SEEN." Anything that can be seen is not hope, IS NOT FAITH. Faith is not an "after the fact." We must beleive (have fatih)and the promise will come. In Romans 4 Paul teaches that in order to receive the promise you must have faith. Abrahams faith is what brought him to the promise. We can learn a great deal from Abraham because it was his FAITH that had him in right relationship with God. We all can trust God through our FAITH in Him.
