The Word

Welcome back...hope everyone had a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving holiday. Last night in our Bible Class, we discussed the Promise of God for us only comes to those who have Faith. Faith is not what denomination you belong to, but what you believe and what you have hope in! Faith cometh by hearing and hearing of the WORD of God.

Here is the subject for tonight...why is so easy to speak the word, but so very hard to believe the word when you don't see the instant results of what you have claimed?

Here is a Hint for those of you that missed us last night....Mark 4:35-41
(You really should come join us in Bible Class on Wednesday's 6:30 -7:45 PM)

I failed to come on Thursday night, but I must respond to this question, Pastor Gibson. It's not proper to answer a question with a question, but I must ask this; When you speak the word and instantly you receive what you have spoken, is faith being exercised? No it can't be. Although you may speak those things as though they were, 99.9% of the time its not going to come to you right then.

God knows our every need, and Psalms 23 lets us know that He is our sheperd and we shall not want (go lacking). That is the promise made to us, but we have to BELEIVE that God will do just that...provide for us in our time of need. Isaiah 40:31 encourages me every single day..."They that wait" is key in my life. My waiting is the testing of my faith.

Yes, I speak life over my situations and circumstance, and although I dont see immediate results, I do not loose hope..FAITH! I beleive that God's word is true, and He says that I am more than a conqueror and that I can do all things through Chirst which strengthens me...THAT IS A PROMISE and that conforms my HOPE to be more than what my situation looks like!
